Description
Zallus Learning Controller is an intelligent and easy to use universal temperature controller that is ideal for reflow ovens, kilns, fridges, and other control systems. This system communicates over WIFI and is designed to work with your android tablet/phone or windows PC. This controller makes full use of modern computation and implements an advance control scheme called model predictive control and mathematical modeling. This allows for unparalleled control performance without any need for any user tuning. This system will also predict ahead of time the control performance.
Applications:
The Zallus Controller was initially designed for creating reflow ovens but can easily be extended to a diverse scope of applications.
Here the Zallus Controller has learned(modeled) an oven. It is now executing a time varying profile(a reflow profile) switching AC at 30 times a second and using predictive optimization to achieve superior profile tracking.
Here the Zallus Controller has learned a fridge and is executing a constant temperature profile. The fridge is controlled by a compressor and has a minimal period of 5 minutes. The Zallus Controller calculates the exact optimal times to turn on and off such that the temperature is regulated within 0.2 degrees Fahrenheit of the target temperature. With PID or On/Off control, this system would fluctuate by +-5 degrees.
Kit Contents:
This kit comes with an assembled Zallus Controller PCB. It also comes with an acrylic case kit, a solid state relay, a thermocouple ideal for reflow ovens, and hookup-wire and crimp terminals. This kit also comes with the Zallus Switch that, once assembled, allows for simple plug and play of electrical appliances without any modification of existing appliances.
Note this version does not come with the Zallus Switch which is designed to be a plug and play solution for appliances.
